Grohl confirmed there will be another Sonic Highways season, indicating a reprisal of the HBO series that accompanied the 2014 album.  "It might or might not be international," he mused. "It might only be England, or be England and other places, or maybe it's places in America and people from other countries that are inspired by these places in America… It can be anywhere, because every city has a musical history."

So there you have it -- Sonic Highways part two will happen, but we have no idea when, and it could happen literally anywhere. Grohl did admit how tiring the process was ("That's another year of my life," he mused), so it doesn't sound like the second album is just around the corner. But who knows…

NEW ALBUMS WILL NOW COME OUT ON FRIDAYS

For decades, new music releases came out on Tuesdays. By international agreement of the major record labels, new music will come out on Fridays, beginning on a date this summer that has yet to be determined. Billboard reports the debate on an international release day was prompted by piracy in Australia and Beyonce's surprise album in December 2013. Why is new music released on Tuesdays in the first place? That dates back to when music was only sold as physical copies. Not all record stores would get their Monday shipments at the same time, so it wasn't fair if some stores had the music and others did not. Tuesday became the recognized day for all stores to have the new music in stock at the same time.

Information Society say that ``small act of generosity'' broke the legal logjam, and the album was released. They say, ``He lived long and prospered, and helped many others to do the same.'' RUSH Drummer Neil Peart Has Chronic Tendonitis, Next Tour Is Likely The Last Tour

Nobody is really sure if Rush’s next tour would be the last time the group would ever go out on the road, but certainly it’ll be the final time the band will do a tour this size. Guitarist Alex Lifeson has revealed to Global Newsthat drummer Neil Peart has serious tendonitis and perhaps a new studio album is in their future.

“I have mixed feelings about it. In one way I feel relief – I think 40 years is a long time to be touring the way we tour.

“I still love playing. But in Neil’s case, for example, his job is really tough. Playing the way he does is very, very difficult on his body. He has chronic tendonitis in his arms and he’s had problems with his shoulders.

“It’s getting to the point, no matter how much we love doing it, that it’s much more demanding and much more difficult.

We’re not finished as a band. We still talk about recording.

Who knows, there may be an opportunity in the future to do not a big tour, but a series of concerts … like a week in Massey Hall or Radio City Music Hall.

Ged and I are just itching to get back into writing. He just revamped his studio, and he’s not a tech kind of studio guy. He doesn’t know how probably even one per cent of that stuff works.

But he’s had this renaissance of being a musician and wanting to play and study more — it’s really inspiring to see. When things slow down we’ll start to do some writing, for whatever purpose. We’ve always talked about doing some soundtrack work.”

AMERICANA MUSIC

Blues. Jazz. Country. Rock n' roll. Gospel.

Southern Gospel. Cajun-zydeco. Soul/ R&B. Bluegrass.

Nine of America's most well-known music genres now have their own road map.

A group of preservationists, historians and music lovers have come up with the ``Americana Music Triangle.''

Stretching from Nashville to Memphis to New Orleans _ and encompassing points in between _ the triangle includes locations that contributed to the birth of the musical genres in the U.S. South.

Destinations are connected by the so-called ``Gold Record Road,''

which is made up of Interstate 40 from Nashville to Memphis, Highway

61 from Memphis to New Orleans, and the Natchez Trace Parkway from Nashville to Natchez, Mississippi.

Travellers planning road trips can use a flashy web guide pinpointing and describing the destinations in the triangle.

PARIS - ATTACKS - THE ARCS

Singer Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys says he has ``survivor's remorse'' because his new band, The Arcs, was also playing in Paris on Friday when the Eagles of Death Metal concert was attacked. Auerbach says The Arcs were playing at Le Trianon, about three miles away. They were finished with their set when they heard sirens and people talking about a shooting. Auerbach says when he heard it involved Eagles of Death Metal, he texted singer Josh Homme (HOH'-mee) to ask if he was all right. Homme texted back, ``Yeah, I'm in L.A. Why?'' Homme is not touring with the band.

Auerbach says their tour manager got The Arcs and the crew on a bus, and they made it to Milan without incident. Auerbach says he can't figure out why it happened at the other club instead of where he was, and he's ``brokenhearted'' about the people who were killed.

He says the killers made it to the band's dressing room, where several people had hidden. Hughes says nearly everyone in the room was killed, except one person who hid under Hughes' leather jacket. DETAILS EMERGE ABOUT EAGLES OF DEATH METAL ATTACK

Survivors at the Eagles of Death Metal show in Paris say the killing began even before the attackers entered the Bataclan night club. One witness says he saw the gunmen pull up to the club and shoot two young men on bikes who happened to be going by. Other witnesses say the attackers unleashed gunfire through the bar and merchandise counter and went straight to the main floor. A police commissioner and his driver heard the police reports coming in and sped to the hall. They charged inside and shot one gunman before he could use his rifle. The remaining gunmen took hostages and used them as human shields. The attack lasted two and a half hours. A witness says a police intervention team fired precision shots at the gunmen in the space between two hostages. Eighty-nine people of the 130 killed that night in Paris were at the Bataclan.

Guitarist Noah Feldshuh says they bought their first van in 2008 and went through three of them before moving up to a tour bus. Harris says maybe someday they'll look back on those days with fondness, but the scars are too new for him to laugh about that.

CLINT BLACK - ``ON PURPOSE''

The haunted house was also a victim of too much success, so Zombie says they've rejiggered it so the lines aren't so long this time around. One of the mazes in the haunted house is based on his upcoming movie, ``31,'' but Zombie says the maze doesn't give anything away. He says the guy who built the maze asked if it was accurate enough and Zombie says, ``What does it matter? No one's seen the movie!'' Zombie expects to release ``31'' next year, along with an as-yet-untitled album. Zombie is also working on a T-V show for Starz with Mila Kunis about a rich kid who runs off to join a murderous cult.
