THE WHO - TOUR  POSTPONED

Roger Daltrey's health has forced The Who to make a pit stop _ before its road tour begins. The singer has come down with viral meningitis. He's doing better _ but his doctor wants him to rest. And that means the group's tour will be delayed until early next year. The start of ``The Who Hits 50!'' had been set for this month. At first the band postponed the first four shows because Daltrey was ill. But once it turned out the 71-year-old singer had meningitis, the whole tour was put off until next spring.

KANYE WEST - PRESIDENT

Only time will tell if Kanye West is serious about running for president next time around. But some of his fellow musicians seem to be warming to the idea. Jared Leto introduced West before he performed Friday at the I HeartRadio festival in Las Vegas. He described him as a ``visionary, artist, mad man'' and after mentioning more of West's attributes, Leto added: ``and just maybe the future president of the United States.'' West said at the V-M-As that he was going to run for president in 2020 _ but hasn't said anything since to indicate whether he was serious about the boast.

BEATLES -  CONTRACT SOLD

A part of Beatles history has been sold at auction. Heritage Auctions says the first contract ever signed by the group fetched more than 90-thousand dollars. The deal was for the group to record a rock version of ``My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean.'' The single was done at a recording session in Germany. It led to the Beatles being discovered by manager Brian Epstein. The deal was also signed before Ringo Starr joined the group, replacing original drummer Pete Best.

JEWEL'S MEMOIR

For many artists, it's a struggle to make it to the point of becoming famous. Jewel has made that journey _ going from being a homeless teenager to a platinum artist with her very first album. But as she notes in her new memoir and album _ the struggle didn't end there. She notes in the book that she ended up in debt after her mom ran her finances into the ground _ and that led to a falling out between them. There was also Jewel's relationship with rodeo star Ty Murray. They married in 2008 and had a son before divorcing last year. The book is titled ``Never Broken'' and a companion album is titled ``Picking Up the Pieces.''

ARETHA FRANKLIN - POSTPONES SHOWS

Ever been on the road so long, you just don't feel like being in another motor vehicle for a while? That's how Aretha Franklin apparently feels. She cancelled two shows in Oklahoma next month because she says she's road weary. She says after driving to the West Coast this summer, she isn't ready to hit the road again so soon. Franklin is 73 and has a fear of flying, which means she uses a tour bus to get around for concerts. Franklin says she will reschedule the dates.

T.I. / IGGY AZALEA

Looks like T.I. and Iggy Azalea are still on the same team. The rapper and head of Grand Hustle records says he's still working with Azalea, despite comments he made on a radio interview indicating their business partnership was over. T.I. tells The Associated Press he still considers Azalea his ``little sister,'' even though she has beefed with T.I. and other rappers. He also says he didn't speak with Azalea about his comments on the radio, saying that they ``speak to each other without having to speak to each other.''
