SLY STONE WINS LAWSUIT

Sly Stone of Sly and the Family Stone has won a big award in a breach-of-contract suit against his business partners. A Los Angeles Superior Court jury has ruled Stone's ex-manager Gerald Goldstein, attorney Glenn Stone and Even St.

Productions owe Stone $5 million. Stone's attorneys argued Goldstein and Glenn Stone convinced Sly Stone to become an employee and co-owner of the company in 1989 so they could get at his royalties.

Attorneys for Goldstein and Glenn Stone had argued Sly Stone didn't have any royalties because he owed millions to the IRS. Goldstein and Glenn Stone plan to challenge the ruling.

MORE ON BLINK 182 SITUATION

There's more back-and-forth between the members of

Blink-182 over what's going on with the band. Guitarist Tom DeLonge writes on Facebook he was asked to drop all his projects to do a

Blink-182 album in six months. DeLonge says he couldn't break contracts already in place for his other projects. He says, ``Never planned on quitting, just find it hard as hell to commit.'' Bassist Mark Hoppus tells Alternative Press DeLonge enjoys being on stage but other than that, he doesn't want to be in Blink-182.

GREGG ALLMAN MOVIE

Here's the latest in the case against those who tried to make a movie about singer Gregg Allman. Prosecutors have said they never promised immunity to a filmmaker indicted in the case. Hillary Schwartz was working on ``Midnight Rider'' last February when a camera assistant was struck by a train during filming.
