Marook the police dog continues his great work of tracking down bad guys.
Monday morning, RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle out of Winnipeg being tracked as heading towards Onanole.
Officers from several detachments as well as the Police Dog Service headed to the community, where they found the vehicle at a business on Wapiti Drive.
Mounties placed the driver under arrest, but as they tried to do the same to the passenger, he fled on foot.
That's when Marook went to work tracking down the suspect a short distance away, which led to his arrest.
28-year-old Christian Morin of Saskatoon and 25-year-old Brendan Neufeld of Steinbach were both charged with Possession of Property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Neufeld was also charged with resisting arrest.
Both suspects were released on promises to appear in court at a later date.
