Three local museum societies are receiving money from the provincial government through the Community Museum Project Support Program.
Fort Dauphin Museum is receiving $2,300 for collections management, $10,000 is going to the McCreary Heritage Advisory Committee for phase two of the McCreary Oral History project, and the Winnipegosis Historical Society is receiving $9,000 towards phase 4 of their collection management.
A total of $315,000 is being provided to support a total of 34 museums across the province.
This program aims to foster Manitoba’s diverse heritage, culture, and identity through activities that advance reconciliation, equity, diversity, accessibility, and inclusion, or that improve collections management.
