Assiniboine College Parkland Campus has introduced a Hospitality and Event Management program for students from Pine Creek and Ebb & Flow.
The program teaches the students a wide variety of hospitality and event management modules, including serving in fine dining, working at a brewery, and running their own event management company.
Instructor Yvonne Rempel says the students will get to show off what they have learned during a gala "Table for 100" event set for June 14th.
"They came up with the theme themselves and presented it to a board. They had the opportunity to vote for the best theme that they wanted. They are executing the event from licensing to getting the caterer to working with people about street closures and the opportunity to market this event."
Tickets are $400 for a table of eight, and go on sale Tuesday morning.
