Dauphin's new Co-op Food Store has been open for business since last August, but now it's official.
A grand opening was held at the downtown grocery store today.
Despite the dreary weather, a crowd of people turned out for a ribbon cutting, speeches from dignitaries and Co-op staff, and a free lunch of beef of a bun and cake.
EDIT: Through the BBQ and other donations, Parkland Regional Coordinator for the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba Wanda Sime says they were able to raise $850 for the Alzheimer's Society at the event.
