After getting through the may long weekend the Friends of Riding Mountain National park are getting ready for their school programming time period.
For the next six weeks the school programs will run with a gamble of different offerings.
CEO, George Hartlen says there's lots for school groups to choose from.
"The Friends organization offers guided marsh programs out to Ominnik marsh, we also do GPS programs around the townsite, we have archaeology programs, birding programs, adventure smart programming as well."
Hartlen also adds that their summer programs, which are the Junior Naturalist and Young Explorer programs run throughout the summer.
"It's geared for ages five to twelve and they are basically a two hour hands on science program and they are for children to learn about the park, participate in hands on activities, that teach appreciation and enjoyment of the natural cultural heritage of Riding Mountain National Park."
Some programs do have registration fees.
