A new survey says Brian Pallister is Canada's second most popular Premier.
According to polling agency Angus Reid, about 46% of Manitobans approve of their new leader, while 37% disapproved.
That's compared to Greg Selinger's 19% approval rating in the first quarter of the year.
The survey did note that new Premiers tend to have higher approval ratings near the start of their first terms, however, researchers at Angus Reid say new leaders normally have numbers in the 50 or 60% range. They believe Pallister's 46% rating could be due to Manitobans still being unsure about the new government's agenda.
Saskatchewan's Brad Wall is the most popular Premier at 66%, and Newfoundland and Labrador's Dwight Ball is the least popular at 17%.
Angus Reid surveyed about 5,300 Canadians earlier this month. About 750 of the respondents were Manitobans.
