A 23-year-old from Saskatoon faces several charges after deciding to rob a business on Main Street South in Dauphin.

On Sunday at 8:30 p.m., Dauphin RCMP responded to the armed robbery. Dravan Guldie entered the store with a firearm, face covered, and demanded money. He fled on foot after getting an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee was not physically hurt. 

The suspect was caught a short time later in the back lane of 6th Avenue SE and was arrested without incident. 

Guldie faces the following charges:

  • Pointing a Firearm;
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purposes;
  • Robbery with Firearm; and 
  • Weapons Possession Contrary to Order and Fail to Surrender Authorization.

Guldie will appear in court on Tuesday in Dauphin.
