The Carberry Fair and Races begins tomorrow, as 4-H achievement days will take center stage on day one.

Carberry Ag Society president Allan Christason says while they try to have a nice mix of activities, agriculture will be front and center over he weekend.

"We are a farming community, and without agriculture, Carberry would not be a very big town.  So we try to walk that line.  We have heavy horse shows,  the chariot and chuckwagon races and all of the 4-H events and open beef classes.  But then also something for everybody else like home living displays, a trade show, and children's activities."

There will be special breakfasts both Saturday and Sunday mornings, as well as a Saturday parade and beer gardens and entertainment Saturday night.

Sunday's schedule will also include the Manitoba Angus Gold Show.

Admission is $20 for a weekend pass, and $15 for students for the weekend.
