Winnipegosis is prepared to swell in size this weekend, as it hosts its annual Mossey River Days festival.

Set for Friday to Sunday, it will feature a slo-pitch tournament, a Friday steak supper, evening entertainment and beer gardens, a golf tournament, and children's activities.

Co-organizer Riley Chartrand says they will kick off the festivities with a pancake breakfast on Friday morning.

"Breakfast at the Beach is for anyone that has the Friday morning bues and needs to eat.  It is a great fundraiser for the kids with Winnipegosis Minor Baseball."

Chartrand says they are bringing in a few new events for this year.

"We are bringing in a giant obstacle course this year for the kids.  And we are also bringing in a mechanical bull, which I believe is for all ages.  So if there are some die-hard cowboys or cowgirls out there, they can try it out."

There are still a few tickets left for Friday's steak supper at a cost of $30 each.

Otherwise, admission is free on Friday, $10 for adults on Saturday, and $5 for kids aged 6-18 on Saturday.
