One bonus, to the amount of snow the Parkland got over the weekend, is it has opened up snowmobile trails around the Parkland.
George Carrier, President of the Dauphin & District Snowmobile Club, provides some insight on trail conditions:
“Trails are in pretty good condition right now. Our groomers were out on Saturday.”
The Prinoth Husky is currently grooming trail #5 to Dauphin Lake will be returning to Dauphin, then Grooming the “Salty’s Loop” Trail #503 west out of Dauphin to Trail JCT#5 and back to Dauphin.
The Unit 5016-2 is on its way north to Ethelbert Opening a Provincial Trail #6 joining communities in the north.
Trail conditions that are groomed today will be in the “Best” condition once completed.
