Starting on Thursday, the RCMP Community Outreach Program is hosting presentations on how to help prevent property crime in rural communities.
Property theft in rural communities has been increasing in the Parkland area.
Dauphin RCMP Constable Ryan Preston, notes what the presentation is about.
“We will be discussing how citizens in these communities can help prevent property crime on their property,” stated Preston. “It’s a pretty hot topic this year as there was a lot of property related crime in the area.”
The first presentation is in Gilbert Plains on Thursday at the Gilbert Plains EMS Building; the second on Friday in Grandview at the Grandview Boardroom and the third on Saturday in Ethelbert at the Ethelbert Drop In Centre. All presentations begin at 1:00 in the afternoon.
