With school starting next week watching out for students is a priority when driving around schools.
Dauphin does not have speed restrictions in school zones according to Brad Collett Chief Administrative Officer at the City of Dauphin.
“The city took a proactive approach and contacted Mountain View School Divisions to confirm whether there was any speed related issues in the school zones and were advised in writing a few years ago that there were not, and so we don’t feel there is a need for speed zones in Dauphin.”
Brad reminds everybody to be aware of their surroundings when driving, take into consideration the no parking zones and follow the red lights on busses.
