The Riding Mountain National Park Film Festival is an annual event held in and around Riding Mountain National Park.
This year the festival will be running July 11th to the 16th in Wasagaming. Steve Langston, Festival director of the Riding Mountain National Park Film Festival, talks about some of the locally made productions that will be screened at the festival.
“Some local films we’re going to play include the “Sawmill Boys & Alex Kippan”. It’s a story about the lumber camps in Riding Mountain National Park. Another movie that’s called “Please Bring Your Guitar”. It’s the story of Russ Gurr a local Westman filmmaker. So ah, so it’s a nice mix of local interest and some the broader international topics.
The film festival also features 2 digital media camps during the week. For more information or to sign up for those visit RMNPfilmFest.ca.
