There's been a house fire in Dauphin located on Cruise Crescent.
The fire is said to have begun at approximately 6:00 am, with an occupant in the home during the blaze.
Neighbours across the street noticed the flames and woke up the owner by banging on the windows, as the fire was located by the door of the home. The owner was able to escape the home by going out via the bedroom window.
According to Dauphin Fire Chief Cam Abrey, the cause of the fire has been determined.
"The cause of the fire is accidental electrical in nature, it was determined the electrical underneath the home -- it's a mobile home -- and the fire originated underneath and traveled under the structure and up the exterior wall which blocked off the door from his escape, so thankfully he had a bedroom window he was able to knock out and get through."
The scene was originally blocked off by Dauphin Fire personnel and EMS handling the situation.
Everyone was evacuated safely from the scene and there are no estimates on damages.
