Dauphin Recreation Services announced today that their outdoor rink is officially open for the season.
The rink opened later than in years past due to the unexpected warm weather Dauphin experienced in December.
Program Coordinator Lindsey Kyle is hoping that everyone who uses the rink, will do so safely.
"It's unsupervised, so there is no supervision there, and of course it is free to the public. We encourage parents to go with their children, so they are supervised, we also encourage anyone that uses the rink to wear a helmet."
The oval rink, normally located by the Rotary arena, will not be opening this year, due to decreased funding for rec programming from the RM of Dauphin.
