Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, along with several partners is launching a new exhibition scheduled to make its way across Canada.
Canola: A Canadian Story of Innovation is a travelling exhibition highlighting the science and innovation behind canola.
Director General of the Canada Agriculture & Food Museum in Ottawa, Kerry-Leigh Burchill feels the initiative will highlight the pivotal impact that canola has made in Canada as an industry.
"The museum was hoping to show case a Canadian innovation in agriculture and we've selected canola for several reasons; one, were very proud of the fact -- and we think that Canadians will be as well when they learn a little bit more about it -- that it started out as a public science."
The exhibition will begin its tour at the Canola Council of Canada's "Good As Gold" 50th Annual Convention in Winnipeg scheduled for March 2017.
