Some big jumps in water and wastewater rates in Swan River have been approved by the Public Utilities Board.
Changes will take effect January 1st, 2017 as well as January 1st, 2018.
In 2017, water will cost 18.18 per cent more, up from $5.50 to $6.50, and sewer services will go up 93.09 per cent, from $2.75 to $5.31 cents 1,000 gallons.
Quarterly service charges are also going up.
