The provincial government is recognizing 19 police officers with excellence in law enforcement.
Justice Minister Heather Stefanson made the announcement today saying, "These officers have served the citizens of Manitoba with honour and distinction, demonstrating leadership and a commitment to excellence in policing and law enforcement.”
Of the 19 officers recognized, local RCMP Staff Sgt. Lee Fortin was honored in recognition of his efforts.
The Excellence in Law Enforcement Awards were established by the provincial government to recognize extraordinary efforts by police officers in Manitoba.
