With snow finally in the forecast, it's time to look ahead to the winter season. And at the Riding Mountain National is ready.

Riding Mountain National Park has lots planned for the coming months, including the addition of a few new trails, as a part of their new Pilot Project.

Acting Visiting Experience Manager, Dave Tovell is very excited to have this project for the winter.

"We'll have lots of offers for all of our guests, the south gate entrance will be open on weekends. And the park administration building will be open during the week, except for Christmas Day and other holidays."

And as apart of Canada's 150th Birthday, admission fees into the park, will be free for the entire year. So from January 1st, to December 31st 2017, the park is free to enter.
