Soldiers from Canadian Forces Base Shilo, trained early today at Clear Lake for a 50 km Mountain Man.
Members of the military base had been running along the south side trails since 8 am encountering a number natural obstacles.
Public Affairs Officer for CFB Shilo, Lori Truscott says Riding Mountain National Park was a perfect location for training because it mimics the geography of southern Alberta.
She added, "RMNP has a lot of the same terrain that they will be encountering when they are in the Edmonton area, they'll be looking for the changes in terrain a little bit cooler along the lake side plus its proximity to the lake."
CFB Shilo is located 35 km east of Brandon.
