The city and RM of Dauphin aren't the only Parkland communities switching to a new recycling company.
Gilbert Plains' community development officer Julie Russell says the expected start date is September 8, and the new recycling carts will be delivered to residents in town next Monday.
"We're hoping that it will kind of promote more recycling in the town of Gilbert Plains."
Russell says there will be recycling containers at the depot and the waste disposal site for those who don't live in town.
Ottenbreit Sanitation Services is taking over recycling duties in several Parkland municipalities. In Grandview, OSS takes over garbage pick-up on September 6, and recycling September 8.
