The Selo Site was bustling this weekend as Dauphinites and many others from surrounding communities for the annual Manitoba Mud Run.

The race brought about about 1,000 runners and there were about 200 spectators.

Co-Race Organizer, Clayton Swanton says participants came as far away as Australia.

"My sister-in-law came in from Brisbane, Australia." says Swanton. "She was probably the furthest person away and it was funny, when we announced that in her heat there was another individual that was running at the same time and he was from Brisbane as well just living in Saskatchewan now. So, we had a couple of Aussies that ran it."

The Canadian Diabetes Association ended up raising over $22,000.
