A two-year RCMP investigation into cocaine smuggling from Mexico into Canada has led to the arrest of three people from Manitoba and Ontario.
Police say they seized more than two kilograms of cocaine during the course of the investigation, which allegedly involved a criminal group using sophisticated concealment methods to get the drug across the border undetected.
Frank Banman of Rosenort, Manitoba is charged with conspiracy to traffic cocaine, and Daniel and Jacob Thiessen of Leamington, Ontario, are each charged with conspiracy to traffic cocaine and conspiracy to kidnap.
