The Parkland Crossing indoor play structure has a new name.
At today's Rotary club meeting they talked about the re-naming of the structure, which it's now called the Manitoba MudRun Kid Zone.
Steven Sobering, incoming president for the Dauphin Rotary Club, says this was a big project that the club invested in.
"We like to support projects that encourage active living and this is a perfect fit for us. And so the Dauphin Rotary Club through the Manitoba MudRun event was able to support them by donating $30,000 for the play structure."
As well at the meeting, land owners Jim Crozier and his wife Gayleen Crozier were given a Rotary Award (The Paul Harris Fellow award) for their assistance with the Catalyst Credit Union Manitoba MudRun.
Gayleen Crozier says they are more than happy to let their land be put to good use for the community.
"We just kind of look at it as a way of us giving back a little bit to our community. A community that's been very good to us over the past years since we have moved here. So it's just a way of helping out."
The Manitoba MudRun this year is on August 6th.
