A Parkland carpentry student is the recipient of a scholarship provided by McMunn and Yates building supplies.
Kathy Gale of Roblin received a scholarship worth $465 dollars to go towards second term tuition cost.
Gale says she was the only one who applied for it, but she is still very honored to receive it.
"I am very proud of myself for being able to achieve the requirements for the award. It was a big step for me to actually come and do the program after already doing some post secondary education, so i'm kind of taking a career path change. So it was also just re-assuring that I made the right decision."
Gale also said that she and another student in her class split an award from Co-op for the highest achieved grade in first term.
