A new waste disposal site for the Municipality of Ste Rose is getting a financial boost from the province.
The government has announced a $475,000 investment in the project, with the funding coming from the Municipal Economic Development Infrastructure Program.
The project is currently in early development with design and tender details still to be determined. Construction is expected to be completed by 2027.
In a release issued by the provincial government, Ste Rose Municipality Mayor Robert Brunel says they are excited to see this important project move forward to provide a new modern site for solid waste management disposal for the municipality.
He adds they are currently working with an engineering firm to design and engineer an appropriate site, and is looking forward to the next steps in this project.
