The Communities in Bloom National and International award ceremonies were held in Strathcona County, Alberta on Saturday, September 29th.
Dauphin ended up placing in the non-evaluated Circle of Excellence. Brandon was also placed in the same category.
The municipality of Killarney-Turtle Mountain were big winners as they took home the Butchart Gardens Land Reclamation award, as well as the Five Blooms - Bronze award for the International Challenge.
The municipality of Boissevain-Morton are runners up in the Grand Champion category. The International Peace Garden in Manitoba along the Canada-US border was given 5 Blooms status.
