A blue blood moon will occur in the sky tomorrow morning.
The name was a result of a mistake in an article published 40 years ago.
Former President of the Winnipeg Royal Astronomical Society, Jay Anderson, notes when it 's to occur:
“Well the total eclipse will begin about 6:50 in the morning tomorrow and it will be at its maximum around 7:30 a.m. We won’t see the end of it because the moon will set before the eclipse is over so we’re actually looking at a moon that’s going to be in eclipse in a brightening sky because the sun is coming up on the other side of the sky.”
The eclipse is predicted to be very visible and attractive in the Parkland area.
