Human Trafficking: Canada's Secret Shame is going to be playing next Thursday in Dauphin.

The documentary will be aired at the Dauphin Countryfest Community Cinema.

Nicole Yunker talks about who was involved in organizing the overall event:

"We are really excited, the Joy Smith Foundation, along with Countryfest Community Cinema, Boxes of Love, the Dauphin Friendship Centre, and the Parkland Crisis Centre have all come together to offer one screening of an amazing documentary. The documentary has been created by the Joy Smith Foundation, it's called Human Trafficking: Canada's Secret Shame. I've seen the documentary and it features all Canadian Content. It's interesting because it looks at service providers, the people who save these people being trafficked, victims of human trafficking, and families who have lost members due to human trafficking. We have brought it to the Parkland Area because last year we showed Nefarious, which took a look at the International Impact of Human Trafficking. The event was sold out and we received such positive feedback that we need to keep raising awareness about human trafficking. The event is free, there will be no advance tickets, it starts at 7 o'clock Thursday January 25th, make sure to be there early, it's first-come, first-serve."

The presentation is free and doors open at 6:00 in the evening.
