With the number of fatal fires that have occurred, the Dauphin Fire Department wants to remind people to check their smoke alarms.
Along with that, a home fire escape plan should be developed and practiced.
“Fire moves so fast that you have less than 60 seconds to safely escape a fire so early warning is crucial,” stated Dauphin Fire Chief Cameron Abrey.
2017 marked the second busiest year for the Dauphin Fire Department.
