This weekend families from all over Manitoba have the chance to experience what it is like to be on a farm.
Open Farm Day takes place on Sunday with over 46 host sites all over the province to check out. This event is a good way for farmers to show off what they do according to Wendy Bulloch the Open Farm Day Coordinator.
“I think it’s just a chance to showcase what they do to be able to share with the public and other people. Because it’s not everyone even living in a rural community understands perhaps what’s happening on a different kind of farm than what they’re in. or if they live in a rural community in a small town or they may not understand what is all happening around them with agriculture. So I think it’s a matter of passion. There are some very passionate producers out there that want to share their story and allow people to come and learn.”
