Registration is open for the Annual Riding Mountain Challenge Bike Tour Fundraiser.
The challenge takes place next weekend on the 9th and 10th.
Cyclists leave from Dauphin to Clear Lake early Saturday morning, arriving back to Dauphin on Sunday.
Director of Development for the MS Society Ilona Niemczyk, explains the route riders will be taking.
“Riders start in Dauphin at the Parkland Recreational Complex on Saturday, September 9 and they head out onto the road at 9:00 a.m.,” explained Niemczyk. “Just going down the main road down Main Street in Dauphin heading up into the mountain with four rest stops along the way. They are the natural rest stops in the park and then they go up into Clear Lake just closest to Ta-Wa Pit Drive. There’s a bit white tent there we are going to have and cyclists can have lunch there, leave their bikes there and continue on in the afternoon. On Saturday night we have a dinner at 6:00 and on Sunday cyclists head out again from Clear Lake. They head back down the mountain, stopping at the same four rest stops along the way down and then ending up in the rec centre Sunday afternoon in Dauphin.
A minimum of 300 dollars donation is needed to register and registration can be found on line at M-S (dot) ca.
