Farmers in Manitoba will soon have a new guide to look at when it comes to grain dryers.

President of the Keystone Ag Producers Dan Mazier, talks about how this new program came about.

"Around 2012 there was a lapse in regulations from the Canadian Standards Association which started a whole cascade of problems for the department as far as being able to install grain dryers and there was a point in time where you basically had to modify every grain dryer that was made in Manitoba or Canada to be operated in Manitoba."

This also comes after a farmer in Portage bought a burner for a natural gas dryer and Manitoba Hydro had to changes some valves in the area to provide enough flow of gas for it to run.
