Winnipeg based Richardson International has acquired European Oat Millers.
Richardson is Canada's largest agribusiness and employs over 2500 people in North America.
Tracy Shelton, spokesperson for Richardson International has more information on the company that was acquired.
"European Oat Millers is the 2nd largest in Europe so they take oats and process them into various products including oat flakes, flower, groats as well as wheat and barley flakes and they also produce extruded ingredients and products. They sell these products throughout the UK, across Europe, the middle east and Africa and Asia."
The new Oat milling company will operate the same but will now be called "Richardson Milling UK Limited".
