The Dauphin chapter of Habitat for Humanity is considering a second building project for the community.
An informational meeting is going to be held tonight at the Knights on 11th Hall starting at 7:00 p.m.
Dauphin chapter's Habitat for Humanity Chairperson, Rodney Juba, refers to how the local chapter is a branch of the Winnipeg one.
"Dauphin Habitat for Humanity organization is an off-shoot of the Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg chapter. On a smaller scale, we try to mirror what Winnipeg has done in the past, by building a Habitat home in Dauphin."
The goal of the organization is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting home ownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty.
