Communities across the Parkland are already keeping a close eye on potential drainage issues this spring.
The Grandview Municipality is diligently working at getting water drained from the town.
According to Mayor Lyle Morran, overall the municipality is in good shape.
"Most of our problems are located in town because of the nights freezing, the smaller culverts are freezing up from day to day and backing water up in some of the lower areas especially in some of the older houses which are worn down [...] it's keeping everyone busy trying to keep the water moving."
The Grandview Municipality Public Works Department will be routinely assessing the situation in the area as more melting occurs.
