As Dauphin and the rest of the Parkland endure blizzard conditions, according to Environment Canada, things may get worse.
While the heavy blowing snow is expected to ease up later this week, the cold temperatures, may continue to drop.
Warning Preparedness Meteorologist Natalie Hasell says things may get worse, before it gets better.
"In the wake of this low pressure system, while the winds will improve, there is still going to be some wind from the north, northwest. And that will usher in much colder temperatures, as an air mass from the Arctic makes its way down here."
Environment Canada is advising the public to avoid any unnecessary driving until the weather lets up.
