Vermillion Park hosted the Missing, Murdered Indigenous Women walk yesterday in Dauphin.

Family and friends came out to honor and remember loved ones who were lost at a walk yesterday, that went through Vermillion Park.
The event began with a opening prayer, performed by Elder Bev Harvey, followed by a sharing circle.
The walk began with a drum ceremony performed by Rainbow Flett's Drum Group.
Mel Chartrand says she was walking for her sister.
"My older sister Terra Chartrand who was missing and murder back in 2012."
After the walk, there was a traditional dance, performed by children.The walk ended with a closing prayer, and blessing of the food.
