The DRCSS Aboriginal Student Association were collecting empty beer cans and bottles Tuesday night as a part of their Annual Bottle Drive.
Tuesday night, the Aboriginal Student Association raised $480 dollar towards a trip to the Osoyoos First Nation in B.C.
Teacher Wade Houle will also be at the school collecting if you have time to stop by the DRCSS. According to Houle, the money raised during the bottle drive will go towards a special field trip.
"We'll be heading to the Osoyoos First Nation in Osyoos, BC... they're probably considered one of the most successful indigenous communities in Canada, so we'll be meeting people from that region."
Houle held down the fort outside the school until 7 pm.
