With 2016 in the books, it was a big year for Swan River MLA Rick Wowchuk.
Wowchuk spoke with CKDM today and gave a recap of 2016, as well as a look ahead for the new year.
Wowchuk feels that he achieved a great deal in 2016, with one area in particular he was proud of.
"Elimination of bracket creep, and we all know that, that has been quite a contentious issue. We feel by eliminating this, in the past, that practice took about 24.4 million dollars from Manitoba taxpayers, so we're excited about that."
Wowchuk discussed the pre-budget consultations that took place in Ottawa throughout December, along with a look back on how the agriculture industry handle the tough weather in the latter part of the year.
