The Manitoba government appears to be making moves on a campaign promise from the PC party.
Health, Seniors, and Active Living Minister Kelvin Goertzen announced earlier this week that effective January 1st, ambulance service fees will be reduced to either $475 or the pre-existing base fee established by the provider -- whichever is the lesser amount.
The province also says all surcharges must be removed, including per-kilometre fees.
That means the Parkland region of Prairie Mountain Health will no longer have a $3 per-kilometre fee.
