Dauphin RCMP are looking into a robbery that occurred on Tuesday.
Police say on December 13th at around 2:30 am, Dauphin RCMP received a report of a robbery that had occurred a few hours earlier.
A Dauphin resident invited a recent acquaintance into his home and once inside, the man assaulted the homeowner and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
The 73-year-old homeowner was taken to hospital, treated for his injuries and released.
RCMP say the suspect is a white male, approximately 40 to 50 years of age and say his name is Morris. Police also say the man was driving a light-coloured pickup truck with polar bear licence plates.
The investigation continues.
