The Dauphin & District Community Foundation has surpassed their fundraising goal for 2016.
It was recently announced that the foundation had surpassed $2.5 million dollars raised, with a new goal set for 2017.
Chairman of the Board of Directors Chuck Burton applauds the community for being so charitable.
"Dauphin is such a generous community and are such great supporters of the community foundation... the Endow Manitoba Challenge where they are willing to give a dollar for every five dollars that we spend, does a great job of attending to our cause here in Dauphin."
The foundation's fundraising thermometer can be seen at the corner of Main St South and 1st Avenue NW.
