After all these years, Canada's National Ukrainian Festival is still able to bring out new fans.
CNUF President Kayla Gillis says the festival was able to attract some newcomers at its 50th in 2015.
"I ran into quite a few people who came specifically just for the 50th and it was their first year ever attending the festival. They came back for the 51st year because they had such a good time.
Canada's National Ukrainian Festival held its AGM last night.
Gillis is now serving her second term as president of the festival. She says she's honoured to take on the position again.
"This year we have another fantastic board moving forward. We have a lot of new acts booked."
Gillis says tickets go on sale December 5th.
