The Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization has issued an Overland Flow Flood alert listed as medium importance for areas of Western and Northern Manitoba.
The Hydrologic Forecast Centre of Manitoba Infrastructure says since Monday, between 70 to 100 millimeters of rain has already fallen on the western and southwest part of the province including the Riding Mountain area, Virden and Dauphin.
Based on the latest Environment and Climate Change Canada weather forecast, the Hydrologic Forecast Measures Organization says the maximum amount of rain will fall along the north end of Lake Manitoba and Lake Winnipeg including The Pas.
The following areas could experience overland flooding, with overbank flows expected on some streams and drains.
