A man suspected of operating a boat that struck a woman in the water at Nutimik Lake has turned himself in to police, according to an update on the Manitoba RCMP Facebook page.
A 24-year-old woman had to be airlifted to hospital after being seriously injured by a boat on Saturday night. She was tubing, being pulled by a boat, when she fell off and was hit by a second boat.
Police say the boat that hit the victim did not stop but a 24-year-old man from Winnipeg has since contacted them.
No charges have been laid and the investigation continues.
The woman is in stable condition.
