A Dauphin high school teacher will be given a national award this November in Toronto.
Wade Houle who is a teacher at Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School (DRCSS) was recently awarded the 2016 Guiding the Journey: Indigenous Educators Award as a Role Model.
Houle says he is honored to have been nominated and looks forward to visiting Toronto. Houle was one out of ten recipients across the country to be recognized for the national award by Indspire.
